Hanes pulled a switcheroo on these tube socks. I have been buying tube socks from Hanes for years, and years.

They had always been near 100% cotton, now the socks are like 97% polyester 3% cotton. There is a very different feel to them (I hate nylon/polyester/synthetic fabrics anyhow), and they do not like to form fit and stay up as well as the cotton ones did.

I will admit, that they have changed the label to show the differences, but after buying the same kind for so many years, there was no major announcement to say that they were completely changing the socks.

I never would have ordered these from Amazon, or bought them in a store knowing that they were polyester, I just didn't know that they were.

In my opinion, they suck completely when compared to the perfect 97 percent cotton ones that came before these.

My husband has been wearing this brand for years. Hanes has changed the way that they make these. The are thinner, do not hold their shape and the fall down. We will not be buying these again. Sad because I have been buying this brand for over 14 years and they were always a really good sock.

These tube socks barley shouldn't be called over the calf socks. They barely are half way up the calf. It's not the sellers fault, it's the manufacture.

Way to thin of a sock to be a james quality sock. After just hours of wearing a brand new pair they acted like quitters for the rest of the day. To thin to have stay up power. They will work in a pinch but not a sock I would repurchase.

Something in the material is absolutely terrible for my husband... he itches til he is bleeding, so unable to wear.

Good socks, desired length- truly do come up over the calf (great for you if your line of work sometimes has you walking property with chiggers/ticks etc.) Good quality.

Easier to shop for, same brands, less expensive & I didn’t have to drive to town.

Bought these and was so suprise how thin and short they were. They say over the calf , but really have to stretch them to get them there. Just made super thin,Hangs usually makes great quality stuff.
