I like to wear white socks around the house all the time, and I do. It preserves the carpets and is more comfortable on wood and tile floors. I have bought and used several different brands, all of which claim durability, and these socks are holding up as well as any, so far, and I usually wear them for two days around the house, but not to sleep, unless I do something to raise a sweat or step on something in the kitchen; so, I've run one pair now through a week's use with no sign of fray or thread thinning/separation.

Not only do these not stay up from the first wear, they also shed inside your shoes! An entire top layer of fuzz comes off inside the shoe AND covers your feet with the same black fuzz. Win-win. These are literally the worst socks I’ve ever purchased. Which is strange, because I rarely remember buying any socks ever. These are memorable for all the wrong reasons.

Spandex or Nylon socks make my feet sweat and I find the material very uncomfortable. I bought these thinking they were primarilly "Cotton" with a small amout of other material. Well, that may be the case but they feel just like my other black dress socks ... Nylon/Spandex. As a result they're in the back of my drawer with my other rejects and I'm still wearing the 2 pairs of real cotton black socks I own until I can find some to purchase, (why aren't there more 100% cotton black socks available?).

I purchased the largest size they had, but they are VERY tight on my ankles. The elastic doesn't stretch at all. Also, with minimal wear they are starting to fray and come apart. Really poor quality compared to the 5 or 6 other brands of gray athletic socks I've purchased over the years.

From sad experience I did not believe the sizing description. Ever since America sent its manufacturing to Asia, the sizes have run small, especially footwear. My husband wears a size 12. I ordered size 13-15 and they even fit a little tight but OK. He does like that the cushion is on the bottom and not all around the foot. The socks are much more comfortable that way. Over all, the socks are a good buy.

Wore these socks for 2 hours after a shower, and before bed. Took them off to go to sleep and there was a quarter sized hole in one heel and the other socked showed loose stitching at its heel, not long before it too has a hole. COME ONE socks that don't make it through a few hours of slipper use, not even shoes. That is so past ridiculous - that I have no words for it!

For the first time in my life, I had socks shrink! Not all of them mind you just a few here and there. It's the weirdest thing because I've never in my entire life had a pair of socks shrink let alone a couple of pairs from the same package. I'm ended up tossing all of them and going to Walmart for new ones.
