These golf socks are not their most padded thick ankle socks, but they are VERY soft - they work perfectly for me as a 'liner' sock. I wanted to wear the absolute thickest most cushioned, protective, shock absorbing socks I could find - and the Thorlos 'thick padded running socks' fulfill my thickness requirement, but are a bit on the 'rough' side as far as the surface touching my skin, whereas these Thorlos padded golf socks are much softer but not as thick as I needed. Therefore, I put these on first, and the Thorlos running socks on over them, for the perfect combination. Note that this double thick sock combo of mine thus requires shoes at least 2 sizes larger to fit - but that is what my feet need to keep the pain at bay.

I've worn this same brand sock for over 20 years. I preferred it when the socks weren't unisex, with female sizes. Since you can't bleach this sock it doesn't stay startling white, even when washed alone. I wouldn't wear anything else. I do order the medium size for my shoe size of female 11. I found the larger size was too loose. These socks are expensive but really last for years and years. I have some from 20 years ago that I wear for gardening. Love them!!!

I have many pairs of Thorlo socks and I use them when I go for a walk. The ones I bought earlier were either tennis or running socks and offer excellent cushioning. In contrast, the one I bought now is not as comfortable for walking on a hard surface.

Have used their socks since 1990's. With tough use and they are still like brand new! Have the hubby won over now a days!!! Buying the thick cushioned hiking sock for him. Terrific color. Just wish they carried more of the great colors they used too.

Second buy of 10 pair...first was several years ago and finally wore them out after constant wear and washing. A bit pricey but worth the cost. Very comfortable, wear well, don’t fall down into the shoes.

Soft, covers my size 10(ladies) foot amply without bulk or stretching to fit. Thorlos are great because they breathe and do not contribute to athlete's foot or nail fungus as cotton does! Don't be put off by the price---a quality sock!

My husband is an avid golfer and likes the low cut style of these socks. He has been buying the same cheapo type socks for years and they wear right out or slip into the back his golf shoes, probably just to annoy him. These socks actually fit him, they will be very cool during our hot summers, and the band across the back works to prevent the sock from slipping. My husband was very happy with the assortment of socks he got for Christmas. Anything to help out with that score!

They feel great...nicely padded. I thought that I'd found a favorite for my size 14 feet. Sadly, after wearing once and I noticed a separation at the ankle. Perhaps it was just a flaw in my pair, but at this price, I'm hesitant to order more...and not worth the hassle to return.
