If your looking for normal socks, then these are not for you.

These things are SUPER THICK, and feel like your wearing 3 pairs of socks.

if you need really heavy socks for some reason, then these are what your looking for, whether it's for winter, or hiking, or medical conditions, or just for wearing around the house, then they'll work great.

The quality is very good, and is definitely a sock that will probably last you years.

No good. They aren't made well with nasty seam on toes and cheap painted on logo. I paid 10 bucks for 1 just to try, glad I didn't buy more. They don't feel or look as nice as these others which I now love:

Working Person's 8766 Black 4-Pack Steel Toe Crew Socks
Cushees Men's BLACK (3-pack) Triple Thick Crew Socks [160] (Large)

Purchased for my husband who has diabetic neuropathy and is on his feet all day at work. Based on reviews, I was hoping these socks would be extra thick and soft. They're really no thicker than the Haines socks I bought him, but after the first wash, they've completely lost their softness...almost feel hard. I wouldn't mind paying $30 for 3 pairs of socks, if they met our needs & expectations. However, these fell short. It's not worth the cost to return them, otherwise, I would. Will not purchase again.

Wigwam should be ashamed to make or sell this sock. It is not King Cotton quality.

Not a big fan of these, I bought 3 pair but they fit loose plus they put that dumb plastic wire connector through the socks.

Of course, the hole where the connector went through expands over time after each washing, now each sock has a dime-sized hole in it. And I did cut the plastic wire first with a scissor before taking the socks apart.

Also, the elastic along the top unraveled after 2 washings, now the tops of the socks don't hold and they look pretty bad. And finally, like others have said, the knit is pretty thick -- too thick for the little polyester in the weave to hold the socks up, especially since the size runs loose anyway.

    Would not buy these again.

In the mid 1950s I only bought Wigwam wool athletic socks. There were no others. Then along came hundreds of brands and types. I changed from Wool to cotton but not Wigwam. In recent years I chose to go the cheap and unsatisfactory route because my white sock days were low on the list of needs and wants. Then came knee problems galore and my doc suggested my buying some really good socks but did not suggest Wigwam. I asked him about them and he said "by all means. They are fantastic!" They are. No more walking on plastic wrap. I have noticed a direct reduction in foot/knee pains as a result of changing to these joys. They stay up but do not cause a band around the lower leg as others do. They fit perfectly and if I have one word for them it is: Ayesayer as opposed to naysayer.

These have been great socks for decades however it seems every time you order several more pair latelythe price has gone way up and, at the same time, the socks are smaller. Sad!

Love the socks. But what's pretty dishonest is when you pick Large, it shows it as 2-Large. Everything else is listed as Small, Medium, ExtraLarge. So the assumption is that you're going to get 2 pairs of socks, right? NOT. They mean you're getting 2 socks. Well of course you're going to get 2 socks when you order it. Very deceptive. Maybe when you order a different size, you only get one....wonder if its a left or a right?????
