I have two pet peeves when it comes to socks. First, I hate to have to pull them up during the course of the day. Second, I don't like skin showing if I cross my legs. The first pet peeve rules out most other socks that I have tried, and the second pet peeve rules out short socks. These socks are long, they almost come up to my knees. I'd prefer to have a mid-calf design, but that's not a huge concern. The upside is that these socks stay up. Period. At the end of my work day, they're still where they were when I put them on in the morning. I've laundered them about a dozen times now, and they still stay up all day long. They're also long enough where I don't have to worry about showing skin. Thanks, dad, for passing that phobia on to me. These have become my new favorite sock and all the others have gotten pushed to the back of the sock drawer. I plan to order several more pairs, and these will be my only socks.

December 5th: Unlike some of my other socks, these are not too tight at the calf and are not uncomfortable at the end of the day. And I don't have red marks on my calves from the socks being too tight. Even after repeated washings, they still stay up all day and they seem to be wearing well. I just ordered more, and these will be the only dress socks in my sock drawer.

I was looking for Ralph Lauren over the calf socks with instep support like I've had for 10+ yrs and are finally starting to wear out. This was the closest I could find (sadly no instep support). These are very good quality, but should be advertised as over the knee. I wear a size 11 shoe and am 5' 11" and these socks come over my knee. I fold them down 2" and they're fine.

gentlemen wear over-the-calf socks, and this RL three-pack offers excellent value. wear the logo on the outside of your calf if you don’t want it to be visible when your legs are crossed. I ordered one pack and was so pleased with them that I immediately ordered another pack...

One pair out of the three has a bad sewing defect. It’s right above the ankle, so it’s hard to miss. QC should have seen it and rejected it.

I guess you know you're getting old when you find joy in socks that feel comfortable.... These really are comfortable socks that are tight enough to stay up but not too tight where they cut off circulation and become uncomfortable. The fact that they are thin, but not too thin is really what works for me personally. I wear cowboy boots that fit well and some other socks are just too thick, these are perfect...for me.

I tried these Ralph Lauren socks as well as the "Gold Toe Men's ADC Aquafx Jersey Over the Calf Dress Sock." The Gold Toe is a bit too much compression for the entire day for my liking, so I prefer the Ralph Lauren socks. I suspect the Gold Toe socks will last longer though as the material is a bit thicker. Personal preference, but both brands are very good and I'd recommend either.

These socks are very comfortable and stay up without cutting into your legs. They are not heavy but not too thin either. I would recommend them to any one looking for quality over the calf socks.

While $7 a pair isn't considered high-end, it's way too much for paper-thin socks with a horse on it. I wore these for the first time today and don't expect many more wearings without getting a hole in them. Not worth it - find something else.
