I bought these socks last march mainly for the warranty. I use them for work. I am a contractor. I thought they were very expensive, but with life time warranty it is worth it as I go through alot of socks. Everything was fine until I noticed a small hole in the toe by my little toe. No problem I thought, I will just contact the company and get them replaced per their warranty. So I tried to contact the company, but before I could start the process, I had to prove I am not a robot. So I submit my email —— 8 times— waiting for their responding email and nothing. So I submitted a email contact form. Never heard from them.
They do make a good sock, but in my case I will never buy from them again due to their false advertising regarding warranty.

I'm not someone who writes more than "good" in a review. But out of the box review these things are the best socks I've ever put on my feet. They stay tight against my calves and snug on the feet. They are the perfect thickness. And I'm excited to see how warm they keep my feet in the winter. Cause I have poor circulation there.

I wear size 13 shoe and bought xl

I wear a size 8.5 so ordered medium size. I wanted something to replace my army issue boot socks I have been wearing for years. Wore them to work excited, quickly lost that as my feet started to hurt. The thickness of these combined with the elastic that squeezes put me in pain all day. I figured i must be wrong as these things have such glowing reviews so I tried other footwear but continued to experience pain throughout the day. Gave them 3 tries and called it quits. It may be a tough sock but does me no good as it kills my feet.

I give them a 4/5 until the verdict is in. I wear a 16 EE boot, so I ordered a 15 to 17 sock, the knee high Hunter, Extra Cushion series. I am 6' 6" tall and weigh 295. They fit reasonably well, so far, though maybe slightly tight. My ankles aren't swelling and the itching is practically non existent. I am concerned, however, that they will be too tight after washing them, as the other ones have. I chose the Hunter series because it has the highest amount of Merino wool, which means there is less elastic to make them tight like the others with less wool, at least that is my theory, and so far they have been the most comfortable of all the socks I have ordered from Darn Tough, all of which were refunded because they ended up being way too tight.. They are great socks; the fit is the issue. The verdict awaits on these socks, as it depends on how they fit after being washed. I spoke to customer service and asked why they make such a large size sock for such small calves. Most men my size have large calves. They said they would take that into consideration, for what it is worth.

Washed twice as recommended. Worn very lightly and VERY PILLY. They are well made and seem like good socks, but I own many merino wool socks, from cheap to expensive and none have pilled like these so quickly. Pilling is not covered under their warranty because it does not affect the performance of the socks.

Went to relatives home for a party. Shoes off and when my brother has Smartwool socks on and I have my Darntough socks on, I was a bit letdown to see mine looking so poorly after two wearings and his Smartwools looking awesome.

I want to buy US made products so I bought these. I work in North Dakota so I think they will be good cold weather items. They appear very well made, but I suppose I'm not used to wool as they are very delicate. After just one wash they appear to be coming apart. I don't care put them in the dryer as I'm not sure they can take it. I bought 2 pair, maybe the second should just be soaked or something. I was set to order more, but I'll hold off and see if these stay together or not.

I've bought several pairs of these socks and various styles and they're all extremely comfortable, warm, stylish and durable. They keep my feet warm during the cold winter days and they're not too hot in room temperature conditions. Also, these socks don't wear down at all when you wash them and I've been washing the same pair of socks for years. I walk A LOT (like over 10 miles a day) and these socks never give me blisters. They add a lot of cushion to my step. Even though I've been wearing some pairs for years, these socks never get holes and never get threadbare. I can't recommend these socks enough. They're well worth the money and more!

Im slightly obsessed with wool, especially socks. I’ve got all the major brands, in various configurations from thin running socks to these absolute units.

1- they are long, they go to my knee. Never roll down, and don’t cut circulation.
2-they are comfortable as any sock can get
3-warm! Early-mid season I wear these with uninsulated Salomon boots, my feet stay pretty warm in the stand until about 30° when I will switch to my 600g Danners
4- great company great warranty made in the USA.

I got both these and the Tactical OTC socks. These are not as thick and not quite as warm, and the fit on them is not quite as good. However, they're nice looking. Since they are listed as the same "Full Cushion" and "heavy Weight" these get one less star. I was pretty much expecting the same sock with a different pattern, but these won't stand up to the same level of cold. Not unhappy with them, by any means, but if you're looking for the warmest possible Darn Tough socks, go for the Tacticals over these ones.

I don't understand how this brand makes their socks last for so long. Their fibers must be imbued with elven magic. I've been using darn tough socks in all their sizes for years, I have yet to make a hole in one. Spectacular.

My feet get cold easy especially when I'm outside, but these socks are perfect. They've kept my feet warm in frigid temperatures, and they fit me really well. I'm a short woman with wide legs, so I bought a guys' size large, and that worked out really well for me.

Great cold weather socks and very comfortable on the feet. Very well fitted and lots of cushioning if you are walking or standing. I always believe that spending good money on keeping your feet feeling good through out the day is very important and worth the money. Will be buying more of these in the future.

This are the best sox ever!!! You pay a little more but it is worth it...they fit great and have padding ...thx!!

Probably the best socks you can buy for very cold weather. -40 degree centigrade winters need extra insulation for your feet too.

Best socks I have ever owned these are worth every penny. Especially for winter in Canada's winter. .

These ones are a Christmas present, but I have others and love Darn Tough socks, as does most of my family. Expensive, but very high quality and worth it.

Most comfortable socks I’ve owned. Used in -40 but they don’t get so hot you can’t use them when the weather is above zero.

Very comfortable, warm in Canadian climate and well made

These are actually worth the price. Probably the best socks I've evet purchased. You won't regret it.

Well worth the price, highest quality I have ever seen.

Amazing socks!! I have 4 pairs. One pair is five years old with heavy use and they are still like new. Highly recommend.

Feels like putting on new pair of socks every time
