I have several pairs of base layers. I have cotton, polyester, and blends for outdoor activities. I stumbled onto these after purchasing some supima David Archy v-neck undershirts (which I love-https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DYSZIDO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1).

Here is the extent of my testing them underneath running pants and my thoughts:
To test thermal retention, moisture wicking, and durability-
    - Worn for 2 hours
    - Outdoor temperature was 48 degrees F
    - Ran about three and a half miles, walked about a mile, and stood in place talking with friends for about 45 minutes

    Pros:
    - Legs felt warm within the first ten minutes
    - Adjusted to ambient temperature (never got too hot or too cold)
    - Wicked away moisture quickly
    - Soft to the touch
    - Has jogger-type cuffs near the ankles
    - Has a fly
    - Comes in grey and black (good standard colors)
    - Strong contrast-stitching
    - Waistband is soft and not too wide (like the wide ones that make you feel like you are wearing boxing trunks)

    Cons:
    - (a consideration than an actual “con”) Legging bunched up around the ankle/calf area; this is mostly due to my height and the standard medium size. I am 5’ 8” so the mediums are cut for people who are slightly taller. Also, the extra fabric may be good for when you are more active and need to be more agile.
    - Some people may want more color options? But they are a standard base-layer not lounging pants. So, color options may be a non-issue.

*NOTE: I hope to wear these throughout the winter months to provide more feedback

I have purchased david archy boxer briefs in the past and I really like their products. I especially like the David Archy Men's Breathable Bamboo Rayon Boxer Briefs with Fly in 3 Pack (XL, Navy Blue-8" in 3 Pack). Just thought I would throw that out there if you like long style boxer briefs. I did get these to try on and use in the cooler months as I do work outside even when it is cold. I ordered an XL and I have size 40 pant waist size and weigh 250 lbs. What I do love is how they feel, very soft and comfortable. What I did not like (and it may just be my personal body shape as the issue) is that they tended to go down in the back area. I have not had that issue with other boxer briefs I have tried but then again, these are leggings. I thought it might have to deal with the weight of my pants but even without pants, these had a tendency to go down. Of course they didn't drop half way down my backside but just enough to make things uncomfortable for me and anyone else behind me. Again, this could be due to my body shape. I did try the XL, and the Large but both did the same. They are warm but not too warm to be lounging around the house in. All in all, I Liked them but I wanted to love them. Hope this helped.

These thermal pants are really really nice. I wear 32x32, bought the Mediums and they fit true to size. The cut is great and allows for mobility. They are not compression, but they do fit close so you can wear under almost anything. The feel is soft, just like their underwear if you have any of those (if not, you should really try them out- also great). The weight is about medium to light. I recently wore them under jeans for some outdoor events (around 30F) and they felt great. The material doesn’t absorb sweat, so even while walking around I didn’t feel clammy like I have with other thermals. The length fit me a little long. I am a 32 inseam and these would be good to about 34. However, there isn’t a ton of fabric bunched at the bottom because there is a thick cuff at the bottom. These are really good quality with substantial sewing, thick elastic, and the materials feel good. I really recommend these for the great value.

I live in the south and don't wear thermals much so i'm not really used to the way they hug your legs. That said I did find these surprisingly comfortable. They do provide a significant additional layer of insulation that helps keep my legs warm while wearing jeans in colder weather. I do wish they had a more contoured front. I found after long periods of wear (6-8 hours) they start feeling a bit restrictive. I do however like how they all the way up my legs. I have had other products that tend to settle lower allowing undesired friction between my thighs. These do not suffer this problem.

I really do love this underwear. It’s a long John, good for winter, however it’s not like most that are thick and uncomfortable fabric. Think of it as ordering a soft pair of form fitting underwear that is full leg length. I’m a 36-38 depending on what brand of jean, and the large fits perfect. I would prefer them a little tighter kind of like yoga pants, but that’s a personal preference not really a downside. They’re thin enough to wear under tighter jeans because they are basically underwear, but they provide some extra warmth. They’re perfect for wearing in fall weather, or just wearing them inside the home with no outtergarment. The only constructive criticism I could say is that I wish the fly was a bit tighter and form fitting, more like a brief and less like a boxer. There is a lot of fabric in the fly that makes it very lose. I guess that may be a personal preference too. I would like to see these made in a pouch style like the no fly pouch briefs I love so much by David Archy. And on that subject if you like these try their micro modal, or Bamboo rayon briefs or boxers. They are the first nice underwear I ever bought and it converted me from a big box store underwear buyer to a underwear snob.

Super comfortable to wear, but in my experience, it's pretty hard to wear this as a "base layer" without looking like you just won a hotdog eating contest. It's just too thick to be worn under most things as far as I'm concerned. I'm also a "pants and t-shirt" kind of guy so I'm not used to wearing multiple layers. They're great for casual, comfortable days around the house though!

these were suppose to be fleece lined and they were not!! very disappointing as I
ordered them for my son for Christmas !

Fit well. Great for snowshoeing, biking, and running

Great base layer pants . Warm ,Super soft , comfortable and fits perfectly

    Complies with all product description.

    Fit good arrived early

Winters are getting much colder and with dress pants, thermals or long Johns are important to keep warm. Bought these to wear with my suits. Colors are neutral and should work well with my suits. The fitting is a little loose but hoping it may shrink after few washes.

They are not even for me but I love the feel of them. My husband says they feel like you are wearing nothing. Not like your typical long Johns. They are amazing quality. Definatly 5 star material. Bring on snowmobile season.
