It's always a real pain to try to find good underwear, and the crazy advertising these companies do doesn't help the matter. Fortunately, amazon publishes the material composition with percentages, but Hanes doesn't on either their website or the package, they just vomit a bunch of marketing diarrhea all over the package/site.

I've had success with Hanes 95% Cotton/5% Spandex "X-Temp" long leg boxer briefs in the past. These are my go-to daily underwear but unfortunately, for some unknown reason, you can't get them in basic colors, and the colors you get are assorted, so you might get one that's black or grey (with a dumb neon accent color of course) and 2 fruity colors. This is basic men's underwear, not uniforms for the pride parade. Stop it.

Since you can get this particular model of boxer brief in more subdued colors, I decided to give them a try. Here are my impressions after 1 week of wear in various situations.

    1. The biggest problem by far is that the elastic around the leg is too stretchy and lacks the compression force to hold itself in place. Walk around, or god forbid do some sort of athletic activity, and you're going to find yourself picking the material out of your crack on a regular basis. This problem is compounded by the fact that the "modal" they add to this blend make the underwear more slick, and more likely to move against the skin. Contrary to other "modal" underwear you may own. these do not feel luxurious. They feel like cheap polyester.

    2. The second issue is that the big wide waistband that looks like it would be wicked comfortable? Yeah...that just doubles over immediately. It's not necessarily uncomfortable doubled over, but it's odd and makes the wide band pointless.

    3. Knowing Hanes products, the longevity is likely to be poor. I expect holes in these inside of 6 months. They're thin and prone to easy damage.

    4. The only reason this is a 2 start instead of 1 star it just because they are at least cheap. Hanes is a value brand, and it's why they are popular. You don't need to spend $50 on a pair of underwear. This makes it even more ironic when Hanes uses advertising words like "Platinum" to describe a $3 pair of underwear.

One last word. Hanes, if you're reading this...just stop it with the over the top marketing crap. No-one cares about all your trademark "technologies" and writing "platinum" on the package just makes you look like buffoons. It's men's underwear for crying out loud. give us a "good" "better" "best" structure, with simple to understand distinctions between the options, and PUT THE MATERIAL COMPOSITION ON YOUR WEBSITE AND THE PACKAGE.....

I found a pair of these at Walmart a while back on sale and decided to pick up a set to try them out. It's always nice to invest in a new set of underwear every year or two. Well, I liked these so much that I found them on Amazon and decided to buy another set and throw out all my old stuff. These long-leg boxer briefs are excellent. For me, they don't ride up at all. I don't do a lot of cardio-type activity but I walk around a lot and am on my feet and a no-ride set of boxers is extremely coveted in my life and these have delivered. They're not very thick but they're not paper-thin either, so they breath well but just expect them to bleed moisture into your pants if it's a hotter day and you're prone to sweating. But they're very comfortable and quite flexible so I expect they'll last for a while. The waist band is pretty comfortable. I can tell Hanes used a smaller elastic band, perhaps to prevent discomfort along the waist area and if that's the case, it's working out well. With now 3 sets I have plenty of boxers for the week and I'm excited that they're all the same brand, same fit, etc. so that I am not fumbling through a few different sets that fit differently. These are now the only boxers I have in my dresser. Highly recommend.

I have been looking for comfortable underwear that doesn't ride up AND does not include polyester. I purchased these because I have worn Hanes boxer briefs for years. They arrived fast and were comfortable right out of the package. I have since washed all of them and I love them. I have a pair of Fruit of the Loom long leg underwear and they fit OK but they are very snug on my thighs. I am a stout man with strong legs and I sweat a lot. Now that I have purchased these Hanes I will be replacing all my underwear with these as money allow.

If you are a big man like I am and you want comfort, look no further. Purchase these now, you won't regret it!

They don't shrink or fall apart in the wash or dryer and the amount my husband wears I have to buy a lot he showers in the morning and then after work and then after his workout. that is 3 pair right there and I have seen him change a few times in between too.

They are very comfortable but, like other brands and styles, ride up and get bunched at the top of my legs. I accept this to be my own fitting issue and not an issue with these underwear since this happens to me with other brands and styles.
So, if riding and bunching is not a issue for you, these are otherwise very comfortable.

I purchased these because I bought several packs of the same model a few years ago and loved them. They were extremely soft and fit comfortably everyday. The new pack I bought feels nothing like the old. The tag shows the same materials used in the same percentages but the feel doesn't lie. These new ones feel rough to the touch from the cloth itself to the waist band. It is absolutely not the same material. The boxer briefs are also noticeably thinner which just adds to the rough feel. I can't help but feel the other reviews on this product are out of date. The product I received feels like a cheap knockoff of what used to be my favorite underwear ever.

I was tired of my socks not matching. Sock fit great. Only negative when pulling on the sock there are so many different patterns sewed together that it has a tendency to pull a hole in the sock. Over all fit and feel is a good value you just have to be careful putting them on.

My husband prefers the longer leg underwear, so we purchased these. I ordered one set and let him use them for a few weeks to see if he liked them long-term. They wash and dry well and seem to be holding up great. So, I ordered a second set and they are same quality. Will probably order again if available in the future - they seem to be holding up great. good value also.

I wear jeans 34 and bought the Large size giving me a perfect fit. Also if you have larger thighs they still fit great. Material is soft on your skin. I couldn't care less for the fly but there's one. FreshIQ as odor fighter seems to work well too. REmain to be seen if I can wear them in the summer. They might be too warm

Decided to try something new so I took a chance on these since I've had good luck with plenty of other Hanes products. So far they're pretty good. Fit is just right, the material is soft, and no signs of riding up or other such discomforts. My one concern is that the material does seem quite thin so I wonder about durability. If they do end up wearing out really fast I may come back and dock a point/update this review. So far so good.

My husband will only buy these underwear. Working all day, he can't stand when his underwear rise or he needs to stop and fix them. With these, he never has a problem. He loves the length and the size.

le coton viens lâche après 2-3 lavages mais j ai pas payé cher non plus

Very comfortable. The only thing that I don't like is that it rides up a bit.

    Love them

They are really confortable and they don't ride up the leg. But after 2 weeks 2 out of 3 already have holes !

    Comfortable and arrived quickly
