I purchased a pack of three of these Fruit of the Loom briefs some months ago from a UK supplier via Amazon. The quality of the product was fine, value for money superb and the service from the supplier was great but the fit and appearance were disappointing. They are well made as you would expect from an iconic market leader in men's underwear, look good and are very comfortable. However, the sizing was on the large side. I selected size not by the code (S, M, L, XL, etc.) but by the waist measurement - 30-34 inches in my case rather than M. This should have been the correct size for me and was in terms of waist fit but the briefs were slightly too big/loose elsewhere and more so after a few hours wear. They do not shrink with a high temperature wash which is good but this failed to resolve the issue. On reflection, a waist option from 30 to 34 inches is rather large suggesting that other dimensions of the product are intended to accommodate the larger proportions which may account for the failure of the briefs to fit snuggly. I wear briefs in the summer and trunks in the winter prefering the support and better line that comes from close fitting underwear. I am vain enough to want to look good even undressed and want my underwear to fit smoothly and look stylish. The return to popularity of mens briefs in the last few years is reassuring but I was a little reticent to venture back into this type of “classic” design so finding myself with pants that were a lttle baggy was not reassuring. Fortunately, checking through the reviews on Amazon confirmed that sizing tended to be too generous, and customers were advised to buy the next size down for the correct fit. Having decided to repurchase (an easy choice given the low price) I chose this supplier because of the bulk offer and bought a pack of 7 at size S. Delivery was fast and prompt despite coming from the USA and they were delivered in two weeks by the date given. Postage was not costly and the total price still made this the cheapest source. The smaller size fits perfectly and looks good. OK they are not the best briefs on the market, inevitably given the incredibly low price. The fabric is thin which makes them better for summer underwear and suggests they are unlikely to last repeated wash and wear but my experience to date is that Fruit of the Loom underwear washes well and does not deteriorate and, if they do not last as long as alternative brands the low price may make this something you can live with. Having now got the right size I have found that they do not stretch and look as attractive and offer the same support after hours of wear. Both in terms of styling and fit they are very well designed. Taking everything into account, these really are an excellent purchase.
