It has been 25 years since I last wore any type of underpants. What started as a habit of necessity as a young lieutenant in a light infantry battalion extended for many years into my corporate life as a business executive. As a grunt, tight whiteys didn't make the cut of essentials that would earn a prized space in my rucksack. Plus undergarments only made the wet and uncomfortable life of an infantryman only wetter and more uncomfortable. After 25 years of commando style freedom, my son, thoroughly turned off by his father's underwearless proclivities, sprung for a pair of Fruit of the Loom Men's Breathable Boxer Briefs for his old man. I'm amazed at how underwear has evolved since the tighty whitey days of yore. For one, they are no longer whitey as the product images attest. While the only portion occassionally visible with lower riding pants or shorts is the stately black wasteband, it belies a rainbow array of colors that one can glimpse when bending low or reaching high. And comfort, oh comfort! Gone is the rigid elastic band that digs into your hips leaving a fleshy racetrack around the waist by day's end. Gone is the bolt of cotton slowly forming up the buttcrack as "Tighty" migrates north with every movement of the lower extremities. Gone is the cotton! The dreaded cotton! The never drying, unbreathable, crotch frying pan cotton! The "Looms" hold their ground. They stay in their place. They cushion the boys with a lightweight, plyable, cool, forgiving mesh, whose wasteband feels delightfully undetectable when worn. I lament that 20 year old me had to wait 26 years for this moment. Yet I am buoyed by the evolution of underwear (which is emblematic of our progress as a species). I am a converted commando! Thank you son, and thank you Fruit of the Loom!

I’ve tried all kinds of brands Under Armor, Duluth Trading Company, Jockey, BearSkin, and a lot of others. As a chubby set man of 5’7 240lbs this is the best underwear I’ve ever owned. It prevents all chafing, and I don’t get uncomfortable rashes. No more chub rub for this guy!! Excellent undies!

My dresser has virtually every type of underwear you can think of, including none at all but this is the first time I’ve bought any that are called breathable. Isn’t all fabric breathable? I was intrigued because where I live it gets incredibly hot and then we have a couple of months of high humidity as well. I don’t have to go into detail why some underwear can get uncomfortable to wear. So for those days I decided I’d give these a try. After all they are from one of the most trusted name in underwear, Fruit of the Loom, so they might be worth considering.

They are styled like most briefs, nothing new or unique about the shape and cut. The part that guys have a special concern about is roomy but not constricting, in other words it does its job just fine. The overall fit is just right, no droopiness, riding up or constriction.

It’s the fabric that’s the big news here. Up close it is completely different from typical briefs, I would call it perforated. It is at least twice as thick as normal briefs. Skipping past the boring details I can say that it works even on the hottest muggiest days it truly does breathe and minimize sweatiness. For that reason I have a new favorite with these.

Beyond that I also like the contemporary color choices available, more stylish and upbeat. And finally the price, they are not much more than ordinary briefs, so if they look better, fit well and keep me cool I say why not?

My boyfriend has hidradenitis suppurativa, which is boils around your lymph nodes: Arm pits, groin, inner thighs, under your butt cheek areas, etc. He gets them in his inner thighs, under his butt cheeks, his back, arm pits, sometimes his neck.

That being said, he will now only wear this underwear. With his condition, most underwear has a tendency to stick to drying blood and if you sit down all day, as he does, when he does have to get up, he has to peel off his underwear from his sores, which doesn't allow them to heal whatsoever. These, however, don't stick. They allow his sores to heal properly and him not feel so self conscious.

The best Damn underwear ever! When it comes to sweat I’ve got two things going against me: im in construction AND I’m on the younger side of being an old fart. This makes a great combination for sweating. The Fruit of the Loom underwear in micro fiber are nothing short of a miracle! Like a bone dry desert, the micro fiber wicks the moisture off your skin keeping you dry. . Where it goes, nobody knows. The fit is like a caring cozy hug that’s comforting and supportive. I purchased a pack of three. I loved them so much I bought two more packs. So if your lucky enough to see a guy walking down the street, strutting confidence, it’s probably me, in my Fruit if The Loom!

    FINALLY, I have found them!

I'm a big guy with a big ass. I also spend a bit of time sitting down because I work in an office.

I try to exercise and eat well, but weight loss is pretty damned hard.

I discovered boxer briefs awhile back, and even though they were better than regular briefs, the shorter legs always bothered me.

Every time I'd stand up, I could feel that the legs were riding up and I'd have to stop and awkwardly pull them down.

    MOST annoying.

I did some reading on the various longer leg version on Amazon, and these seemed to be the best.

    They ARE.

Breathable, stretchy in the important, needful places and a very soft & comfortable waistband.

    My search is over.

These are wonderful. Probably the best underwear I've ever purchased.

Fruit of the Loom has other short leg boxers with a slightly different material blend, and those are good too, but these are my overall favorite.

They are so light, it feels like you're wearing nothing at all, nothing at all.

Despite the picture consisting of black/grey/blue boxers, I was sent black/blue/UGLY NEON GREEN. No way to complain, no information about that in the order, so beware!

I'm talking super neon, like that green squid in Splatoon, like that a high-vis jacket-clad motorway worker or like a cheap 90s rave wig!

So with 1/3 in UGLY NEON GREEN that I can't wear outside the house for fear of accidentally joining a sports team, I'm basically paying £18 for 2 boxers (quick maths) that's £9 a boxer, not great.

Please send as pictured?!? And stop the UGLY NEON GREEN disappointment.

I wear these on my head so my pig tails can hang out the sides.

Bought my first set of these in Canada, was pleased I could get them on Amazon from the usa. Not sure why they can't be found in fruit of the loom UK

    Highly recommend

Very nice quality. Ordered a M to fit a 34” waist and they fit very nicely. Washed and tumble dried without shrinking.
Shame the packaging was so damaged.

Absolutely brilliant, I love them. They feel nice and fit nicely!

Comfortable light underwear. Will be buying more.

    Very very nice

Delivery's fine, product's fantastic. Just be wary that what you see is not necessarily what you get. The thumbnail for what I ordered show a blue, light grey and green colour. What I actually received was dark grey, black, and red. Fine, but I was expecting to receive a wider palette.

    Good pants

The Colours where different than shown online. Other than that they are very comfortable.

Kids love them, they are nice and soft and stretchy, as well as cool

    Really good to wear

Kids love them. They are coo, soft and comfortable to wear.

Excellent quality snug fitting and does not ride up. Keeps you cool

These are great for exercise and gym wear, very comfortable and supportive, no chaffing and never ride up. Great fit.
