I’ll start with 25+ years in banking wearing department store suits and sport coats of various brands from $60 to $400 for my most expensive wool suit from the Men’s WH. I’ve never worn a custom tailored piece, or “bespoke” as it’s known in the fashion industry, but this has to be as close to it as you can get for this price.
The pick stitching around the lapel and pocket flaps, the soft, rich patterned wool/spandex fabric, the interior pocket detailing, including a hidden zippered vertical pocket on the left side, and zippered pocket on the right side, and the detail that impressed me the most: a working sleeve button hole on each sleeve, that traditionally is left unbuttoned to alert those around you that you’re wearing an expensive jacket. Not sure I’ll do that, but it’s nice the option is there for those that like that. Not all sleeve buttons open, only the last one on each sleeve, but none of the dozens of department store suits and jackets I’ve worn over the years have had that. There’s also a hidden button hole behind the left lapel and a fabric loop on the inside above the left interior pocket to pass through a headphone cable from a phone stored in the pocket for those that like listening to music while strolling along wearing this jacket. Cool!
I’m sure that those who shop the expensive boutiques are laughing at my statements, but for the average working class that doesn’t spend $1000+ on clothing, what Cole Haan has done here is pretty impressive.
Construction, quality control, and fit and finish are impeccable.
I bought this on a heavy price dip and unfortunately may not have the budget to spend again the usual $250-$300 for another color, but if you can afford it at that price, it is well worth it. If you see it discounted, don’t hesitate.
If you’re used to classic or regular fit jackets, this is slim fit, so go up one size and you should be OK.
Being the most luxurious looking jacket I own now means the bar has been set very high for every future jacket to come.
Now I’m just waiting for another large price dip on another color; come on Amazon, don’t let me down.
One complaint, and this is not against Cole Haan, but against Amazon’s packing and shipping department, the Cole Haan-branded hanger arrived broken, a crime to now hang this work of art on a generic hanger :(

Paired with a Kenneth Cole Reaction deep lavender shirt and a square-patterned red tie and dark brown khakis, I got lots of compliments on it at my tradeshow booth and the reviews are dead on about the fit and quality of the blazer. I'm a bigger man now at 6'3" and 220lbs (wasn't always), so I opted for the 46L and it fits perfectly. Two day Amazon shipping came just a couple of hours before my flight too. Score big for Cole Haan!

It fits well and is cut pretty nice but that innovative linning feels cheap to me. Also I don’t love the grey color as well. Got it for a price drop but still don’t love it even at that price. Tommy Hilfiger and Vince Camuto Sport Coats are nicer in my opinion.

Well made, good quality materials. Very trim fit

The material is good, the colors are similar to picture.

I love this jacket. It’s light weight, well cut, and fit like a dream. It’s pricey but drips with quality, and though the patterns are classic it doesn’t resemble an old jacket by any means. The stitching is without flyaways and the pattern is sharp.

My favorite part of the jacket is the weight! Minimal liner keeps it breathable. Finally you won’t dread summer wedding heat!

There is a great hidden pocket on the left inner aspect, perfect to toss a credit card or ID. If I buy of the rack a 42R is just a HAIR long in the arms (42S) are too short on the body. I recently bought a van hausen suit and he fit here is identical. I’m around 5’10’’ 177# with 34 pant size for reference.

This is a nice sharp looking jacket. It feels comfortable and looks good with a great pair of black dress of slacks to casual jeans. Accentuates what I'm wearing a bit more. The only odd thing I found was that the pockets on the front of the jacket aren't actually pockets, but just made up to look like pockets, even though you can't put anything in there. I remember first trying it on and thinking, "Why have these pockets here if you can't put anything in them." Still that's not a deal breaker from me wearing on this occasion. The jacket was slightly larger than expected, but that's merely because I went one size too big, other than those two details, this jacket is perfect, fits comfortably, and looks good.

This was just slightly smaller than my other 42Rs, but overall a good fit. Saw someone else said their sleeves were long...mine were fine...so, just hopefully an aberration and not a concern about quality management with production.

It's best as a casual jacket...trying to get that perfect tie would be a challenge (but not impossible!).

I've worn with black jeans, and the brown/black combo receives alot of compliments.

    Quality is excellent.

Highly recommend if you like the color pattern (exactly as shown)!
