I bought these along with the trunks and both are awesome! The board shorts fit well and dry fast. Very comfortable and great quality for the price. Impressed with these for sure.

These looked great at first but after one wash they faded. The length and pattern are perfect. I usually wear board shorts but these were a good change but not too short.

First of all, the print looks really great. It's the Hawaiian shirt of bathing suits.

Inspected it I can see it is well made. The fabric feels good and dries fast.

Be aware that there is no liner here. You do get 2 decent-sized mesh pockets as well as a more secure fob pocket on the inside (maybe good for a key or something).

There is both a string to keep it tight (thoughtfully stitched in place so you won't lose it when loose) and some elastic in the back that stretches nicely. You also get a velcro fly. This can be handy for bathroom trips, but just be aware that the hard side of the velcro might be a little uncomfortable in this situation.

Overall, it's a stylish and functional bathing suit that I really like.

I wanted a pair of beach shorts that had no inner mesh lining, so that they could double as regular shorts. These looked nice in the picture and seemed to fit the bill. I ordered size 32, and thankfully it was a perfect fit. These are sturdy and well made and better yet, look really nice and fit well. Overall, I am quite happy with them and will definitely get a lot of use out of them, even as a pair of shorts around town since they have ample pockets.

However, they did fade quite a bit after the 1st wash. I washed in cold, gentle cycle so was surprised at that. They still look fine, but now have that "lived in" feel. Also, the velcro fly only opens a max of 5" down from the top. That will not be far enough down to make it possible to use the bathroom without pulling them down. I don't mind that too much, but it is something to be aware of.

Otherwise the fact that these fit well is most important to me because I'm lean and most shorts have a tendency to look like a tent on me. Not the case with these. I am thinking about getting another pair, because that's how hard it is for me to find shorts that fit well and these do.

The thing that drew my eyes to the AMAZON BRAND - 28 PALMS BOARD SHORTS was the design. It is bright and colorful, which is why I was a bit disappointed after they faded when I washed them. My husband isn't bothered by it though so I try to not let it bother me. The thing that my husband loves about these is the no net liner. He hates the net liner that most swimsuits and board shorts have (he actually wears underwear under them because he hates it so much) and the fact that these don't have that is great. He can wear them as just a fun pair of shorts and then to the pool. They material is very soft and it dries quickly, which is also a plus, and the fit is great because they have both an elastic and tie waist. If you are looking for a great pair of versatile shorts than these are perfect.

These trunks are comfortable and looked nice. The reach down nearly halfway to the knee and have that "just right" amount of bagginess in the thigh. The mesh liner is comfortable and holds everything in place and they wash without shrinkage. So why the 3 star review? They actually faded in the pool/hot tub at some point during the first wear before they were ever washed which is something I have never seen happen before and considering the normal quality of the brand that was a huge surprise because I have never had a problem with anything like that from this brand. Now that they are faded they just don't look right so they will just be an old backup pair of trunks.

The only kind of board my husband deals with is a circuit board, in his omnipresent computer.

But even though he's not a surfer, he likes these shorts because they are versatile for travel, doubling as walking shorts and swim trunks. The looping tie system is a little troublesome but not a dealbreaker.

The 36 is a bit too snug around the waist but otherwise, they fit well.
