  • It runs a bit large, but not so much that I’d return it. I have 4 long sleeve minus33 tops, all in large, and they fit well. But if I were to purchase this vest again, I’d go with a medium.

A great layer to have with variable weather days. Comfortable as a single layer. Warm. Gets complements and questions.

My 'senior' father loves this. He wears it everyday, and can't say enough good things about the Merino wool. Highly recommend.

lots to like about this vest and so far at least nothing to complain about at all, though of course we'll see how it holds up over time and use. More specifically:

Fit: Fit is nicely snug over a tee-shirt. Not tight, but close to the body without restricting any movement. The arm holes are a nice cut--they don't sag too far below the arms nor do you feel them underneath your arms as you move. If I zip it up all the way it remains snug but comfortably so (in other words, full zip doesn't tighten it in as I've experienced on other jackets). The neck, which rises about halfway up when fully zipped, is also nicely fitted in that it keeps in warmth but doesn't crowd the neck or restrict breathing. All that is with a medium on a 5'4" 132 lb frame. It's also thin enough to fit under jackets as a mid-layer.

Feel: besides the nice fit and ease of movement, it's soft, light, and not at all itchy (I've never had itch issues with merino items). It's definitely a mid-weight. I'd forgotten that and was a little surprised at first at its weight. It's not heavy at all, but I'd been thinking it was a lightweight vest. It's not.

Construction: It feels quite well made. The zipper moves easily and is a nice size. I really like the zipper baffle which is thick, well made, and doesn't interfere at all with the zipper movement. It has a relatively small side chest pocket. Just fits my iPhone SE. It's stretchy, but big phones might be a problem The two side pockets are larger and can easily accommodate big phones, as well as fully envelop your hands if necessary. And there are two rough very large interior pockets as well.

Care: it's 100% Merino so as one might imagine it's was cold on the gentle cycle. They also advise turning it inside out. They say you can tumble dry it low, though I never do my merino in the dryer, being conservative that way.

Haven't gotten it wet or tried to stink it up, but I can attest to merino's anti-odor aspects thanks to many other such clothing items that have proven themselves in that area. If you haven't worn a merino shirt, it isn't hype.

Nice for cool mornings/nights in spring and fall. Pair it with short-sleeves, then a long-sleeve, and in late fall/early winter use it as a layer underneath.

This is a very attractive vest, easily worn out to dinner or around town, although I know it's made for exercise and adventures. It looks great on. The sides are grey and with the black it's very slimming and I think my husband looks hot in it. There are side pockets and a pocket by the heart. He says that it is lightweight and easy to move in, while being warm. This is a very soft fabric and feels good to touch. It washes well and I lay it flat to dry. He has worn both a t-shirt and a long sleeved (Long underwear material) under this and liked it with both options. Looking forward to getting a lot of use out of this vest.

My hubby really likes this vest. It has been too warm to wear it, but it fits as expected, is not itchy (which can be hit or miss with merino wool!) and while its slim profile means it will work great as a layering piece, it also looks good by itself. This a piece that will get lots of wear in the spring and fall.

I got this for my husband for biking in fall/winter. It is perfect. Light weight and yet warm. It washes really well and hasn't shrunk. Fits as expected and isn't itchy. Really a perfect vest for outdoor activities.
