Ideal for tackling any trail, Columbia Men's Solar Chill 2.0 Short Sleeve Shirt keeps you cool and comfortable no matter the weather. Columbia's casual clothing offers comfort and functionality for everyday wear. The high quality materials used to craft this are what make it so special, while its modern, classic fit speaks to style and comfort.

This short sleeve men's shirt features some of Columbia's most renowned technologies built for prevention and protection while outdoors. Our signature wicking fabric makes the shirt breathable; the unique fabric works to pull moisture away from the body so sweat can evaporate efficiently and quickly. The fabric also features tiny dots that work to deflect the sun's rays to keep you cool. Sun protection is featured within the fabric as well, providing UPF 50 sun protection against harmful UVA and UVB rays; this technology in particular works hard to prevent sunburns and long-term sun damage. Lastly, utility features on the shirt makes securing your smaller items easy.

Columbia offers our Men's Solar Chill 2.0 Short Sleeve Shirt in multiple staple colors and size. To ensure the size you choose is right, utilize our sizing chart and the following measurement instructions: For the sleeves, start at the center back of your neck and measure across the shoulder and down to the elbow. If you come up with a partial number, round up to the next even number. For the chest, measure at the fullest part of the chest, under the armpits and over the shoulder blades, keeping the tape measure firm and level.

It is hard to see, but the fabric of the Columbia Solar Chill 2.0 Short Sleeve shirt can have a slight shimmer in the proper light. I like the effect - it reminds me of something Buck Rogers in the 25th Century would have worn. That said, it may not be for everyone. Some reviewers think it has a plasticky quality. I can see why they'd think that, but it isn't at all uncomfortable and the materials is rather soft -- and very breathable.

I wear this when working in the yard or going for a power walk. The 100% Polyester weave helps reflect the sun and keeps me cool. It does get dirty easily, but its white so I expected that. Otherwise it is easy care, easy wear -- just wash and air dry. The cut is somewhat flattering and easy to move around in. Size Large fits my 195lb., 6' frame just fine. With UV protection, this is a must have shirt for my South Florida life and well worth the premium price tag. Columbia makes great outdoor products and this is one of them.

If you're not looking for a shiny shirt, you probably want to pass on this one. Not sure the picture does justice to how shiny it is. On the other hand, if you're walking/running/biking at night, that shininess comes in handy, and is even preferable.

It's light, and has OK breathability, no worse than most tech shirts that aren't a wool blend. It's a bit more slick on the skin than other tech tees. Certainly not as soft as a merino shirt, or say an EMS techwick. But while it does feel slick, it doesn't feel sticky, nor does it cling to your skin. It does dry quickly and wicks sweat away in good fashion. I'll have to take their word on the UPF.

Fit-wise I found it to be maybe slightly roomier at its size point, but more due to cut perhaps than volume of material. A lot of tech tees are slim fit and this one is not, which makes it a nice hang-around shirt. It's also decent to do an active sport in, but if you're going to layer you might want something more form-fitting

I got this shirt for either my teenage son or my husband - whichever claimed it first, basically. Teenager got it, and it's probably best that he did. Husband would not wear a shiny shirt. Which this definitely is. Actually, it's less "shiny", but definitely has a sheen to it, and it is very visible outdoors in the light. Teenager, however, loves it and has worn it regularly since it arrived. It fits him as expected, and he says it is very comfortable (which is a given, as he is wearing it a lot). Washes fine with no issues.

Essentially, it's a well-made shirt by a company that does it well. Should last for quite a while, even with a teenager wearing it.

The Columbia Solar Chill 2.0 Short Sleeve Shirt is an all polyester design. It has a reflective appearance on the outside and feels very "smooth" on the inside. In other words, like you're wearing a 100% polyester shirt. As such, it does generate a bit of static electricity when removing.

Otherwise, it's quite comfortable and performs as advertised. In that it does feel cool, it's stretchy, soft, and comfortable. The sizing appears to run a little larger than average. But that's fine, as it allows for unrestricted motion.

Easy recommendation. Not super cheap, but the material, quality, and assembly are top notch.

This shirt is very lightweight; it feels like wearing silk, but it’s cool, not warm. It is the thinnest of Columbia’s Sun Deflector shirts, I believe, since it doesn’t have the Omni-Freeze Zero technology (I have a shirt with this, which I don’t find to be a big plus, and it does make the shirt a bit heavier and stiffer).

Omni-Shade Sun Deflector is what I consider the most important feature. It refers to the many tiny reflective dots on the outside of the fabric which reflect much sunlight away. It reminds me of the shirts that have similar reflective dots on the inside, to keep you warmer in the winter. This is coupled with Omni-Shade SPF 50 sun protection, which blocks UVA and UVB rays.

    But that’s JustMe.

This is a good work out shirt designed to wick away moisture AND keep the heat away with special reflective fibers woven into the outer layer.

I admit this gives the shirt a vaguely sci-fi gleam. It isn't something you can see in the photos, but you see it immediately when you have the shirt in hand. That shininess isn't a huge deal, but it is a bit of an eye-brow raiser.

I wore the shirt through 6 hours of yard work in the sun and found that it effectively blocked the sun's rays (SPF 50 is claimed). I know this because my unprotected neck got a bit of a sunburn while everything the shirt covered did fine. Moreover, while the shirt got dirty, I never felt sweaty and the shirt showed no sweat stains.

I really enjoy this Columbia Solar Chill shirt. It does exactly what it is advertised to do.
It dries fast and keeps me comfortable when it is hot enough to sweat.
It is lightweight and airy feeling. At the same time it is a very nice fit that I feel good in when wearing. The tapered sides and shoulders make for a nice shape.
The fabric is thick enough to not be a see-thru type of which I don't like.
It is just right in length to me, stopping at just above the thighs.
Machine washable, resists wrinkles and is a "low maintenance" garment. Everything I like.
You can toss it in a gym bag and it pulls out looking pretty good. No fuss.
Performance, quality materials, good design. 5 stars.

Product does what it says, and it's great as a reflector for early morning/evening runs. I wouldn't wear it out and about as it is incredible flashy; like wearing a bedazzled t-shirt.
