I thought socks were socks, boy, was I wrong.

I've had some cheaper ADIDAS/Nike/Underarmour socks since high school, and they've treated me well, but the wear and tear on them seemed severe and has gotten annoying. So, I started researching socks. (Never thought I'd do that.) On a few lists, Darn Tough kept coming up. Gave them a try, and wow. They're comfortable, lightweight, breathable, and can't beat the lifetime warranty if anything goes wrong with it! Very pleased. $15 to own a pair of socks for life? Sold, what a bargain!

I also tried the light cushioned model, and felt like there was a little bit too much cushioning for my liking. They would be good for boots, or winter footwear though. Many options if you don't like one style.

Quality that you would expect from Darn Tough. They are the only sock brand I buy. However these seem tighter than others. The toe box is restrictive in that it pushes the big toe inward. The toe box is almost triangular...not shaped like any foot I have ever seen. Makes sense maybe for pointed dress shoes I suppose.

Recently I discovered the joys of merino wool. These socks are toasty - my toes always get cold in winter. But not anymore with these warm socks! Fast shipping with Amazon Prime - yay!

Just the right thickness - kinda thin, no extra cushion to make shoes too snug. Wool, so they don’t need to be washed daily. Don’t absorb odor. Not cheap, but worth it.
