I just received these Yesterday. I have now washed them once. I usually post reviews a month or so after purchase but am posting this now because the other five reviews posted at this time smell like they originated from the seller.

These are made in Thailand. The fabric shows no visible flaws after one washing. The stitching appears perfect. The cut is comparable to my other go-to wools. I wouldn't describe these as ultralight or extremely light. They are heavier than my Wooly brand lightweights and lighter than the EGIs that I returned for other reasons. I'm confident enough in their comfort in our east Texas summer that I ordered two more of these today. The sizing is off. After looking at the chart and seeing the comment in the description about an "athletic cut", I ordered 2 ea large and 2 ea XL. I normally wear a large. In this shirt I wear an XL. 5-11, 185, mid-section modified to 35 inch by 60 yrs of gravity. I overlayed a Wooly size large on an XL Merino-tech. Same-same. I'm returning the too-small-larges. The socks are very nice, mid-weight, also from Thailand and make this the best deal I've seen on wool Ts.

I'll update in a month or so and adjust the rating if deserved. Four stars for now because no history with these.

I was tempted to try this t-shirt by the relatively low price compared to all the other Merino Wool t-shirts I've owned through the years.

First is the shipping and communication. Tracking info says ordered AND shipped July 17. It shows still not Out for Delivery yet...despite the fact the shirt arrived July 27--10 days after "shipped". Me thinks this vendor is not accurately communicating things with AWS, but I don't really know how that stuff works behind the scenes.

For years, I have owned and loved many Merino Wool t-shirts from Ice Breaker, Minus 33 and others. When I removed this t-shirt from the bag, it immediately felt cheap and scratchy. It also looked a little smaller than I hoped.

I resisted the urge to send it back--deciding to wash it and see if it softens up. After a 1st wash, I'm OK with the Large size--it fits good enough, but I wish it was a little longer. WORST thing is that it feels like what you expect normal wool to feel like--itchy. NONE of my past Merino Wool t-shirts feel itchy.

I will keep washing and wearing this t-shirt to see if it gets better, but right now, I won't buy another. I will update this review if my opinion changes or I have new info that might be helpful.

So first off, I don't know how this shirt and socks combo is so cheap but it is. I mean it probably has something to do with the fact that it's made in Thailand but the wool itself is from New Zealand. Like another reviewer, I noticed that the majority of the reviews looked suspiciously like they were written by the seller but the price was so good I ordered it to find out myself. So the shirt is definitely wool like it claims because it was a little itchy before washing it and when it is wet it has that wool smell. After washing though it is barely itchy at all, after a few washes it'll be unnoticeable. The socks are not 100% wool but are 13% nylon and 2% spandex along with the merino wool. The only real fault with this deal is that the brown shirt appears maroon-ish and not fully brown. I'll just have to see how well it holds up over time. But overall, what a bargain.

This is what a wool shirt should be. Made out of wool!!! Lots of these wool shirts for sale on amazon are 50% poly or more, this is 100% wool. Yes, it might be itchy to the more sensitive, thats what wool is like. If you prefer a poly shirt go buy a poly shirt but if you want the real shirt made without a bunch of petroleum based fabric this one seems pretty good. I'm taller so it is slightly short unfortunately but that's typical for me so I won't blame them. Oh and the price allows for a lot of forgiveness for any shortcomings.

I had never owned a wool tee shirt prior to purchasing this one mainly due to cost. And I wasn't quite sure what it would feel like to wear wool during 90-dgree / 90% humidity days of July. But I am absolutely sold on wool tees. I do a lot of hiking and I sweat profusely. The wool tee kept me cool and odor free and far more comfortable than cotton. I've washed it a couple of times (delicate cycle, no softener) and hung it to dry. So far it has kept shape and size. Excellent quality product! Will buy again - I just wish the price hadn't shot up to nearly $30. Bought this first one at $20. Still a great tee.

Fit Just right. Ordered XL - I’m 6’1” 218lbs. Got the gray -lightweight, but not see-thru. Got this to replace one of my Red Ram ( discontinued by smart wool) from years ago ( priced even less). If this shirt can hold up over multiple washings -( remember you can probably skip a wash,or two if only light wearing due to merino wool ) then that will be the real test. Would have given 5 stars if it didn’t have the bulky neck tag. Don’t really care for the logo at the hem either, but not a big deal. Quality seems good. Very good price - especially when they through in the gray merino socks. (though it’s already gone up 2 bucks) Socks are great.

I own about 5 merino t-shirts and use them primarily for travel due to the temp regulation, anti-wrinkle, and anti-odor factors. I have paid anywhere from $17-$75 a piece. The actual fabric from the more expensive shirts is noticeably better, but you pay a real premium. The fit of this shirt for my body was spot on and better than the most expensive shirts. (I am 5'7", 170 lbs, 42 in chest, with fairly big arms). For the money, this is the perfect merino t-shirt for me.

The socks seem pretty decent as well. I don't believe they are not 100% merino, but seem durable and enough merino to retain the good properties of merino wool. They are more of a compression fit.

If these shirts were a little cheaper and had Prime Shipping, I would replace all of my t-s.
