Sizing was off. One guy said they run small. I found the opposite. Ordered the 105 pants at the same time, both in 32 waist. Pants fit perfect, shorts fit like a 34. I am returning and ordering a 30 in the shorts in hope they fit like a 32. I may update when I get them in 2 days. If they fit like a 30 I will order the 32's again. 5 star shorts, 1 star sizing.

Update on the 30w shorts: They fit like a 32. I wanted to wear these without a belt so they work for me. Just a recap... Pants(105's) 32 fit, shorts(these) 30 fit. I am 32 in other pants. Hope this helps.

Man I LOVE these shorts. Ripstop fabrics are some of my favorite fabrics, especially for the summer as where I live it easily reaches the high 90's and low 100's with 80%+ humidity. It can feel like stepping into a steam room and without the right fabrics it can be quite uncomfortable. These shorts are lightweight and roomy enough that in hit weather you'll still be quite comfortable. I own several pairs of the shorts as well I have had some of their pants for years. They fit well and sizing seems to run pretty much right on. They have fairly wide belt loops, they measure about 2.25" and easily fit my 2" belts. In addition the first belt loop on each side have a small "D ring" that let you clip a keychain or other device.

They have plenty of pockets on the shorts including 2 small slash pockets if like myself you carry a small flashlight and/or a folder but prefer them not be in your front pocket. The fly is a zipper and on the interior has a single button closure to keep things where they belong and out of the zipper. The rear and cargo pocket flaps have Velcro closures. While the cargo has 2 pieces, the rear flaps have only 1 as well are stitched down one side of the flap which means it doesn't become crumpled in the wash. The front pockets are quite deep. I am easily able to fit my cell phone in the pocket without it sliding back out when sitting down.

Hands down these are very comfortable shorts and will stand up to rigorous activity without issue. From just casual wear to a heavy day at the range or doing yard work these shorts will hold up.

I'll start off by saying the quality and function design is very nice. They feel very durable and the pocket configuration is nearly perfect. They don't fit great though. I'm in the process of losing weight and I currently wear size 38 relaxed fit jeans that have a little bit of stretch, and my jeans feel several sizes too big. So when I ordered size 38 in these shorts (202 model) I figured they'd fit and if anything be a little large. They are not. They fit but are tight. They have absolutely no flex (they aren't advertised as having it). I weigh 250lb and am 6"1'. I have large thighs (thick, not long). And my torso is slightly taller than usual for my height. I think my thighs and torso may be the problem. They feel like the waist and the crotch are too close together. If the waist is at the ideal location the crotch is way too low. And if the crotch is in the ideal location the waist is way too high. The snugness on my thighs makes this more of a problem be sure they don't naturally ride up and down as I crouch or lift up my legs as shorts often do.

If you have a perfectly proportioned male body then these seem like they would be perfect. If you don't then you might have some fit issues.

Giving 4 stars. I would have given 5 if the fit was better. I wanted to give 3 because of the fit but the price and quality and features outweigh the relatively minor issues I have.

Great work shorts! Be forewarned that the 202 model are decent length whereas the 201 should only be worn by creepy uncle types.

Runs a tiny bit large and has a partial elastic waistband. But all around great shorts to work in.

*Update- I've been doing backyard construction in these for a few weeks. They are awesome work shorts. Good value. I haven't had an issue with the snap popping open like some others but the waist isn't tight on me at all. Nice, lightweight and seem like they'll be durable. Just got another pair of 202s which are just as good as the first.

I love these shorts! It's 1/11/2020 and I'm still wearing them every day (washing appropriately) because I just love them! The cellphones pocket on the upper thigh is a revelation! I do a lot of technical work and i've never had a problem with my phone being there, it's almost ideal. Perfect! The weird little pocket for knife clips also perfectly holds a mini bic lighter! If they were lighter or stretcher I'd make them my hiking shorts...and it's almost to the point that i'll ignore the weight and just use them for hiking.

Perfect pocket size! Perfect placement for reach...fantastic! Sadly I wasn't as enamored with their pants. Whatever, I'm not reviewing them here

I now own five CRQ shorts and four CRQ pants. I love everything about them: style, quality, materials, fit, durability, price and more. About the only thing missing are inner pocket dividers for the side cargo pockets (I.e. mag holders) but I can live without them considering CRQs overall value. These items have shown to wear extremely well over the last year and half and I’ve experienced no degrading in color or fit. I’m very hard on my gear and these are very tough garments! I’m a serious EDC practitioner (CCW) and really hate it when I can’t wear my CRQ shorts or pants!
