I've ordered several colors (coffee, black, and grey). Usually I'm a 2x these days, so I ordered 4x, based on reviews from other buyers.

Straight out of the package, the shirts were all slightly large on me. If I hadn't expected them to shrink at all I would still have worn them. That's how "slightly large" they were, even though they are 2 sizes up from my usual.

The first one I ordered was the coffee color. I knew the shirts were meant to be line dried, but since I don't roll like that I threw it in the dryer with all my other laundry. It shrunk slightly, making the shirt fit perfectly.

Based on that result, I ordered the black striped, grey striped, and the plain green shirt (which is on a different Amazon product page from the same company). When I washed those, the black and green shirts both shrunk slightly just like the coffee shirt did, but the grey striped shirt shrunk quite a bit more for whatever reason. I stuffed some pillows into the grey shirt, and rolled up some bedsheets to stuff in the sleeves, left it like that overnight... and it stretched back out to normal.

All in all I think these shirts are very cool, and I've even ordered another one (plain brown), but I can't stress enough... order up in size.

The photos for this shirt sure isn't what I received. I was just wanting an old fashioned collarless striped shirt and this thing came covered with God-awful designs stamped all over it.
Besides that, the overall quality is very poor. The cloth resembles a course gauze. I'd have been happy with a course linsey-woolsey but not even close.
There were also some spots here and there that appeared to have been bleach spots.

The fit is pretty good. But I have some issues with the aesthetics.
First of all, the color variety here is very nice. I have a hard time finding these shirts in lots of different colors.
However, the way the button closures look, makes the shirt look very ethnic. I am a white man, and wearing this shirt, I look as if I am trying very hard to look indian. I have other kurtas, which do not have these closures, but just regular slits along the collar, and they look just fine. I ended up cutting off the closures and making my own slits. It looks fine now, but it was still extra work.
I also don't like the fact that these shirts have pockets. It makes the silouhette weird, and a bit less streamlined. I'm not sure I can cut off the pocket without the shirt looking ragged, but if I can, I will.

All of the pictures of this "Granddad" Striped Shirt show just the stripes. Upon receiving the shirt, it also has Indian Prints on top of the stripes, as in Gonesh the Indian God. I still wear the shirt, but I would have liked just the stripes.

First and foremost, this is a beautiful shirt with smooth, vibrant fabric, great styling, and arrived exactly as pictured. Like many others have reviewed...the fit chart is completely unreliable!! The actually cut of the shirt is WAY smaller than described. I upsized by one size (I wear a Med and ordered a Large). In all honesty, I should have order this in XL...although I fear that with the way this is cut, I would look very boxy, even fat. Either way, great shirt...but consider upsizing even two sizes if you want it to fit properly.

Beautiful shirt and fits great. I may need to take in the sleeves, but that’s no big deal. It is lighter than expected, I would have liked a thicker shirt, but not hating it enough to return. The hidden side pocket is cool, but I wouldn’t use it for money or credit cards being a thin material, a receipt or grocery list would be ok lol. Overall happy with it.

I ordered a 4x but should have got 3x.As long as I tuck it in I look good. After putting in the dryer for 30 minutes it shrunk some and became much softer.

It’s an inexpensive shirt, so quality is about what you would expect. Biggest problem is the fit. Shirt style is meant to be a bit loose fitting, but instead fits more like a fitted shirt. 100% cotton is likely to shrink as well. I’m an XL and have never had to order an XXL before, this may have fit better ordering a size larger.

I bought one of these shirts last year for my holidays,(size xxl as people said they came up small) the quality is not fantastic but thats part of the " hippy look" it was a nice loose fit and perfect for abroad, I liked it so much I ordered two more this year , when they arrived both shirts had the cardboard label on showing XXl but only one had the size sewn in the collar , on checking the sizes compared to the original one I got last year ( one on top of the other on a flat surface ) the one with the sewn in label was about 1 inch smaller across the shoulder and 1 1/2 inch across the chest ( thats 3 inches less in total chest size) also the sleeves were a lot shorter but as I only wear it with rolled up sleeves that was not a problem as the shirt did fit me ( just a little tighter ), the second shirt ( with no sewn in size) was far to small , it was more that 2 inches less across the shoulder and 3 1/2 inches less across the chest ( thats 7 inches total loss in chest size ) I could not get this one on at all yet strangely it had the longest sleeves of the 3 , it has been returned , still waiting for the refund .Its no suprise to me that the reviews are confusing ( some say they come up small when others say thay come up large ) when you get three shirts all marked XXL and three very diffrent sizes,, If you get one that fits they are brill for holidays or summer , Im not sure I will re-order as knowing my luck they will send me the small one back lol

These Nepalese shirts are very much what you would expect. They are light weight cotton, with a top pocket, and right hand side pocket.
Due to the light weight of the material, and the way the pocket is sewn into the side seam, you couldn't really carry anything heavier than a pack of cigarettes in this pocket.
The shirt is not really well made, there are loose ends, badly finished seams etc,
Having said that I would still recommend them. They look great on, and are wonderfully cool on hot days. I have a large (6 feet tall, 13 stone), and it's ample, and looks great.

I haven't work it much so I con't really comment on how sturdy it is. Although it is a farily light item of clothing it seems reasonable robust from one quick try-on. I deliberately went for a generous size and it came out pretty baggy but not ridiculously so, which I am happy with. It looks good and I'm very excited to add it to my wardrobe. I just hope it is sufficiently hard-wearing ... that's always the risk with items like this and I'm afraid at this point I can't comment on this one (although I'm not sure quality is always consistent anyway, even if you get the same item from the same seller).

Don't wash this garment unless you want it to shrink, I bought 3 shirts in size 4XL (too big) and 2 shirts in size 3XL (fits perfectly, I am 132 cm over the chest = 52".
Not good quality, and should be cheaper for what you get.
Purchase at own risk, cannot recommend because of the poor fabric.

I do like the loose fitting , especially in the summer; and for that this shirt is perfect. Good quality finish too, on all the seems and overlock stitching; I fully intend to buy others in differing colours, and styles from this company. Nice !

This is probably the worst clothing item I have ever ordered and was promptly returned. It was not in any way close to a body fit and the sleeves were so long as to hide the hands!

Poor quality fragile cloth. Amazon have not applied quality control with this company.

I bought this on an XXL thinking I was too fat, but seems XL would have been fine, not manufacturers fault, just mine.
Had this mad idea that I could shrink it using boiling water only to find a very dark blue dye coming out, what that means I have no idea, any suggestions?

The shirt quality was great. I bought a medium for my husband who is 6ft, slim build but it was way to wide for him & the arms were waaay to short.
I would have bought another but if I'd bought a small I'm guessing the arms would have been even shorter.

My husband lives in these shirts! He has several colours. They last well, well made and colours don’t fade too fast. Also fits well and is cosy under a jumper but cool in summer

Being a big fella ( 55inch chest) I like my shirts with plenty of room. This fit s the bill perfectly. Light weight, well made. Will be buying more for next years holiday. Highly recommended.

Great shirt... good quality fabric with no loose threading, I have been looking for some of these light & comfortable shirts for ages. I would definitely recommend them.

Odd shape. Wide across the shoulders - very narrow sleeves and quite fitted. Its a struggle to get on and off . I would suggest gong a size up but it might end up a bit like a sack.
Nice design and looks good - once its on.

Fabric is very thin. Much thinner than my other Nepal style shirts.
Beware of sizing - I bought XXXL and the sizing info stated 48" chest. When I opened package the shirt seemed huge : chest measured 52"
After a 40° handwash the shirt shrank a mere 4 inches. That's 8% shrinkage!! Anyway now the shirt seems to fit better. Arms are a bit short but I roll them up anyway

Nice fabric, nicely put together. I wish there were more colours and models (I will try to find the same brand)

As recommended, I did order a size larger than I normally wear, but when I tried it on, it was already a bit of a snug fit. Because the material was quite starchy, I gave the shirt a very cool hand wash before our holiday. When I put the shirt on to wear, it had shrunk by at least two sizes, therefore rendering it far too small to wear. This is a pity as I quite liked the shirt. I recommend that if you intend to buy one, order one that is 3x larger than you would normally. Especially if you intend to wash it at some point !! Shirt is now in the Charity bag.
