This product review is a slight edit from the review that I wrote for the solid olive color version of this shirt that I ordered.

The one important difference that I want to note is that, with this striped shirt, I want to note that the stripe pattern is not printed or dyed onto the shirt, but, instead, the shirt is constructed from strips of solid colored fabric sewn together. I imagine that this is considered a characteristic of very high quality, but I also want to warn that this creates ridges inside the shirt where the stripes meet, which I feel distinctly when I wear the shirt, although I quickly become used to the feeling. I suspect that the feeling would be somewhat lessened if were to wear an undershirt underneath.

I also should add that I think the sizing (at least for my XXL) is slightly large--that is to say that is more honest, perhaps what we had before the flood of inexpensive shirts from Asia over the past twenty years.

The cotton fabric is noticeably thicker and warmer than most other cotton shirts that i have worn. I consider this an advantage. Perhaps this shirt really is made for playing rugby in England. Given that I was order this product for delivery in the United States, the product arrived in a timely manner and in good shape.

The one big negative that I want to make everyone aware of is the fabric care instructions state, among other things, "Do not tumble dry." I actually did machine wash and machine (tumble) dry this shirt once, before I noticed the instructions. I think the light ("egg shell") parts may have gotten a little darker from the dye used for the dark blue, but I'm not sure. I also think the stomach area may have shrunk more than the shoulders, but that's more than likely just me!

Bought the Burgundy/Navy; I like this shirt and ordered another in a different color (Navy/White). I'm a tweener and wear 41" or 42" jackets, and wear either medium or large sweatshirts, polos, etc.. I chose the large and it fits well out of the package (I like some room in this kind of shirt). It still will be okay if it shrinks a little. Good quality construction & colors are great. I would call this a mid-weight shirt. The specs on the manufacturer's web page (I cannot post a link because that violates Amazon review guidelines) says it's 300 gsm, which is 8.85 oz. cotton. So, it's substantial, but not meant for rucks and mauls; a serious rugby jersey is going to be be 10.5 to 12 oz. cotton. The product description on Amazon indicates "leisure" wear, and that's what it's for...which is okay by me, because my rugby playing days are over.
This is an update after receiving the Navy/White shirt: I was a bit concerned by reviews that indicated the navy stripe is black. In fact, it is Navy --the dark Navy of a naval officer's (or midshipman's) uniform. If you place it next to something black, you can see that it's navy. IMO, these shirts look and feel great, especially after the first wash (cold or lukewarm).

Nice rugby shirt, however it runs very small. I normally wear a medium, after reading the reviews I ordered a large. The large is very snug, to the point that I have to stretch it out before wearing it. If I ordered another I would get an X large. The company needs to change their sizing, shouldn't have to order two sizes larger than normal but it is a nice shirt at a good price.

Great shirt for the price. As some reviewers suggested, I ordered one size larger than I normally buy and that fit perfectly. It ships from UK, so doesn't have tracking info...but what they hey? Came in a reasonable amount of time and is a nice, heavy-weight, collared rugby shirt. I shall get another one or two...great for putzing around during winter months.

Nice warm shirt. Colors and quality very good, as expected. Button almost too large for hole. I ordered one size larger than normal and it fits very well, like the smaller size. Possibly slightly longer than other shirts. High arm holes.

It is a lightweight shirt that is well made. All of my shirts are mediums, so I bought the medium. It appeared to be to be a small. I am returning. If you are going to buy one, I would suggest that you buy 1 size larger than you normally buy.

Excellent shirt! This seller is wonderful! They are responsive and really great to work with. Also - I LOVE THIS SHIRT!!!! I use it for skating (comfy big and warm!) and it fit perfectly. I recommend to anyone out there looking for good figure skating gear to get about 4 or 5 of these. You won't need anything else.

the neck opening is not done correctly the square security stitching at the bottom of the button closure is too high and makes it difficult to get the shirt on and off. I removed the upper stitching and resewed the closure about 1/8" above the other lower stitching to secure the flap.the wearer gains about 2" with this simple alteration .. The COLORS are amazing and so nice for Summer My husband loves this shirt.

I ordered a "Front Row" rugby shirt, as shown in the Amazon product page picture above, which clearly shows Front Row label at the back inside the collar.

The order was fulfilled by an Amazon Marketplace seller called "Beauty Suppliers".

I have another Front Row shirt so I can easily compare and detect a fake.

I am confident that what I have received IS a fake, based on the following elements:

- The label does not say Front Row as in the picture or on my real Front Row shirt but only says: LG, made in Pakistan (picture of received shirt included).

- The colours are not as expected, with the burgundy being much darker than in the picture. Also, my real Front Row shirt is plain burgundy and much lighter-coloured (quite like the burgundy strips in the picture).

- There are no white strips under the side partings at the bottom. You can only just see it in the Amazon picture but it's there, while on the shirt i received there are none (picture of received shirt included).

- The cuffs are not made properly and are loose on the wrist.

- One of the cuffs has an odd shape.

- The two cuffs have different sizes (but both are loose).

The cuffs picture included with my review shows the above three point.

- There is an X shaped stitch detail below the collar that isn't present on the Amazon picture or on any picture of a real Front Row shirt, or on my real Front Row shirt. Now I want to add a picture of that but have no found a way to add another picture when editing hte review.

- The fit is much tighter than the real Front Row shirt. It still fits me because I would be between medium and large but it's very different, tighter and shorter overall than a real Front Row shirt.

I don't know if I'll return it because it's usable but it's still unacceptable to be sold a fake and I hope Amazon will not support this malpractice and will bar that seller from using their marketplace.

I am a 40ins chest & purchased a large which fits well. I would usually wear a medium but do be guided by the sizes in the product description... they are correct! At 31.5ins the shirt is incredibly long & needs to be tucked into trousers. Do not expect these shirts to be the heavyweight cotton you'd find in a sports rugby shirt. I would describe Front Row as leisurewear & perfect for casual wear. The shirt wouldn't survive a game of rugby!

This is my 3rd Rugby-style shirt and the best of the lot. By 'Front Row', this is a very well made polo shirt and most of all looks, and feels good to wear. So much so that wearing it for the first time folk were asking 'From where did you buy that'. Amazon, of course, where else? But seriously I do recommend this shirt if you're into the style, and since the warmer weather is just around the corner, what's not to like?

The product is very well made, of quite thick material. It looks good when it is worn and is very good value. However, it has been made by sewing together alternate navy and plum coloured strips, so there are a lot of seams down the torso and arms. The seams are quite substantial and can be felt when it is worn, so I wear it with a plain t-shirt underneath. This overcomes constantly being aware of the seams, but makes the fitting quite snug. For anyone wanting to do similar, I would suggest buying a size bigger than usual.

This was a birthday gift. I was a little disappointed that it came in no protective wrapping just the packet it was sent in and when I opened it there were dirty marks on the collar in a couple of places so I had to try my best to sponge it out before I could wrap it. Otherwise the material was nice, good quality with rubber buttons, size was as expected and colour was good not faded or wishywashy. Pity it was let down over no protective packing or I'd have given it 5 stars.

Now the shirt has been washed I can say it still looks a really good buy, almost as good as when it arrrived, the only reason it did not get five stars is the care needed when it needs cleaning, my normal way is out of the washing machine into the tumble dryer but the care instructions are a bit more detailed and time consuming than that.

The size is OK, but the cut is not quite as expected. plenty of room on the arms, the body not so roomy - probably due to
the seaming. Also the neck fastening strip is cut a bit high, may be possible to unpick the seam to lower it a bit.
General quality is pretty good

This garment is very well made and I love it. Unfortunately for my size (normally medium) I risked ordering small and it fits a dream with one exception, it is 4inches (100mm) too long in the body. I paid a professional to shorten it as it came well below my crotch.

I did not buy this shirt to play rugby in I bought it as a leisure item and as such I found it to be of robust material well constructed good fit, so overall I am very pleased with it.

Arrived on time, as advertised and in great condition. Fit is slightly larger than I expected, although may shrink if need be. Overall quite a nice, comfy top made from good quality cotton.

Lovely and warm for these cold winter months. The sleeves are a good length, I have gorilla arms so it’s rare to find something that fits. The fit is loose, as expected. A proper rugby shirt, get one.

Always a bit worried about buying clothes online. But this fitted well, is warm and comfortable while coming back as new after 2-4 washes so far.

Top quality rugby jersey which never fails to disappoint and I've bought six! As far as I'm concerned, there's no-one to compare with Front Row in this particular category and, furthermore, their products are always delivered on time. Thank you.

It looks great - the fact that it is too large is my fault, not the seller's. It is of a lighter weight than I was expecting but it will be great as casual wear in the summer.
Will certainly buy again.

Its a lightweight Jersey. Nice mute colours, soft feel and rubber buttons.
Its a 2019 Christmas present so not fully unwrapped yet.
